Anna Runion

Anna Runion

Anna Runion is a minister and community organizer serving in San Diego, CA. She is passionate about social and personal transformation toward liberation. She seeks out the innovative edges of faith traditions, hoping to engage emerging spiritual practices and communities. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego, focusing on liberative leadership practices within social movements and faith communities. She served as the Minister for Youth and Social Justice at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Carlsbad, CA for ten years, organizing the faith and justice communities primarily around immigrant and LGBTQ rights and equity. She finds deep fulfillment in accompanying community organizers, ministers and faith leaders through personal and spiritual formation and social change. In the fall of 2021, she will serve as a Resident Minister at the University of San Diego. She looks forward to walking with young people as they discern their identity, values, and vocation. Anna is also in the ordination process within the United Church of Christ. In her spare time, she picnics with her family, enjoying the beautiful Southern California weather, and binges 90’s sitcoms.
Danielle Rochford

Danielle Rochford

Danielle lives a Bi-Vocational Existence in Burlington, Vermont. He is a student finishing the Christian Leadership Certificate at the New York School of Ministry and taking courses through Phillips Theological Seminary and Pathways Theological Online. He is working towards authorized ministry in the United Church of Christ through Alternative Regional Education. Danielle's secular calling is data management and quality improvement for human services. He presently does data management for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families federal program at Pathways Vermont. At the center of Danielle's ministry are the terms wholistic and access. His primary focus is spiritual direction, faith formation, and pastoral care to the non-monogamous and BDSM community. His goal is to minister to and foster positive connections and practices in sacred moments and relationships to the divine. Danielle serves as a volunteer chaplain at the Pride Center in Vermont. Danielle has served as an ombudsperson for a sex-positive regional organization and has presented at conferences around both spirituality and disabilities. By learning about others' experiences, relationships to the divine, and other world views, Danielle believes that this is how awareness around the many paths for wholistic connection to the divine thrives.
Rabbi Adir Yolkut

A St. Louisian by birth and nature, Rabbi Adir Yolkut is currently living in White Plains, New York with his wife, Lauren, where he serves as the Associate Rabbi at Temple Israel Center. He was ordained by the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in 2016 with a concentration in Jewish law. In his 5 years as a Rabbi, he has worked at a synagogue and a private Jewish High School. He is passionate about creating alternative prayer/spiritual opportunities, building community outside of the four walls of the synagogue, and teaching and preaching content that is authentic and responsive to real world events and issues. When he am not Rabbi-ing, he and his wife love to travel. Some of their favorite spots have been Croatia, Indonesia, and Singapore. They enjoy hiking and adventuring, especially when it involves a beach. Rabbi Yolkut is also an avid CrossFit fan. At home, he loves to cook, brew his own coffee, and to his wife (and their closet’s chagrin), collect and wear sneakers. He is a huge sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues and Missouri Tigers basketball and football teams. Beyond all of that, he is always game to talk pop culture!
Rabbi Andrew Jacobs

Rabbi Andrew Jacobs has been the spiritual leader of Ramat Shalom Synagogue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida since 2002. Ramat Shalom, a vibrant, diverse congregation, was established in 1976 as a Reconstructionist synagogue. Over the years, however, the congregation has evolved and now finds itself more comfortable without official labels and the boundaries that often come with them. In 2013, Rabbi Andrew, along with his wife, Rabbi Cheryl Jacobs, founded ISH, a non-denominational spiritual source and service grounded in Jewish wisdom but open to all. Ordained by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 2001, Rabbi Jacobs is also a graduate of Vassar College and holds a Master of Arts in Jewish Art and Material Culture from the Jewish Theological Seminary in consortium with Columbia University and the Jewish Museum of New York. In partnership with Clal and the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Rabbi Andrew was named a LEAP Fellow. Additionally, he is proud to serve as a Rabbis Without Border Fellow. He posts regularly on his blog. Rabbis Andrew and his wife, Rabbi Cheryl Jacobs are the proud parents of Abigail and Jonah.
Rabbi Betsy Forester

As Rabbi of Beth Israel Center in Madison, Wisconsin, Rabbi Betsy Forester shares a living Torah focused on practice, grounded in text, and animated by passionate compassion. Rabbi Betsy is a master educator and religious leader skilled at helping people build meaningful lives through transformative Jewish experiences rich in authenticity, depth, empowerment, intellectual rigor, sacredness, and joy. Rabbi Betsy’s path to the rabbinate prepared her to understand the needs of the present moment and to make Jewish learning and practice relevant to today’s seekers at every stage of life. Rabbi Betsy has spent her entire life deeply engaged in Conservative Judaism, and her practice accords with traditional, egalitarian, forward-thinking, Conservative Judaism. She chose the traditional model of private s’michah (ordination) through an individualized, thoughtfully designed, post-denominational program in which she studied with world-class rabbis and scholars across the denominational spectrum. Her training included coursework at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America (JTS). Rabbi Forester’s rabbinical training and ordination were supervised by a beit din (rabbinic court), and she was ordained in 2018, by Rabbi Irwin Kula. She has also studied at the Svara Yeshiva and Hadar Institute and completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Betsy treasures opportunities to study with colleagues of all faiths and backgrounds.

Rabbi Daniel Utley serves as Associate Rabbi at Temple Emanu-El of Dallas, TX. Rabbi Dan aspires to help teens, millennials, and individuals on the fringes of Jewish community find meaning, and relationships. A native of Cleveland, OH, Rabbi Dan studied Physics and Music Education at The College of Wooster, graduating with honors in 2005. After a career as a high school band director, Rabbi Dan studied at HUC-JIR in Los Angeles, earning an M.A. in Hebrew Letters, an M.A. in Jewish Education, and rabbinic ordination. Rabbi Dan developed an early love for Judaism through The Temple -Tifereth Israel in Cleveland and URJ Goldman Union Camp Institute in Zionsville, IN. Currently, Rabbi Dan oversees award-winning initiatives for LGBTQ inclusion, innovative small groups for young couples and parents, teen engagement and teen advocacy, and conversion. He has helped Temple Emanu-El prioritize Jewish teens in congregational life and demonstrate that Judaism provides the authentic spiritual tools and deft moral guidance to help people thrive in today’s complex, challenging world. Rabbi Dan is a proud member of the Jewish Education Project’s Generation Now Fellowship. Dan, his wife Rachel, an amazing Jewish educator and organizer, and their three boys can be found walking, biking, or gardening their way through the Dallas any day.
Rabbi Max Weiss

Rabbi Max Weiss serves as a congregational rabbi in Oak Park, Il. where he focuses on fostering a creative a loving community that serves the needs of its members and works to continually bring the world closer to justice. Max currently serves on the board of The Leaders Network, a West Side collaborative that seeks to create flourishing communities with independent leadership, economic justice and equal educational opportunities for all. He is currently working with a task force to establish a credit union on the West Side of Chicago. Max also serves on the board of his local Community of Congregations and in that organization has been a leader in building bridges and serving as a connector between diverse communities. He volunteers as rabbinic advisor to the Chicago Jewish Community Relations Council and with OSRUI’s (a Jewish summer camp) advisory committee where he has volunteered for two weeks every summer for the last 19 year. Prior to moving to Oak Park 12 years ago Max served congregations in Hoffman Estates, Il. and in Wynnewood, Pa. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and an ordainee of Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion. Max is married to Leslie and they have three children.

Rev. Aaron Rogers is a passionate pastor and nonprofit leader in St. Louis, MO. Rev. Rogers received his B.S. from Bradley University and his M. Div from Eden Theological Seminary. He also studied public administration at Rutgers University, and received a certificate in nonprofit management from the Institute of Ethical Leadership based in the Rutgers Business School. In his 8+ years of nonprofit leadership, Rev Rogers has served nonprofits, churches, and foundations. Most notably, Rev. Rogers served as the Associate Executive Director of the Newark Mentoring Movement and the Associate Minister of Stewardship and Development at the historic Riverside Church in Harlem NY. Rev. Rogers regularly preaches and provides workshops on religious fundraising, radical generosity, and racial justice. He currently serves as a Health Equity Consultant in the city of St. Louis, sitting on the advisory board of the Arts and Education Council's Art and Healing Initiative and serves on the Community Governance Board for the Racial Healing and Justice Fund. In addition to development and communication consulting for a variety of churches and initiatives, Rev. Rogers currently serves as the Director of Mission and Theology for Faith for Justice and clergy associate for Trinity Episcopal Church in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis.
Rev. Dr. Ruth Shaver

Rev. Dr. Ruth Shaver

Rev. Dr. Ruth Shaver is a transitional ministry specialist with standing in the United Church of Christ. She is currently the Interim Pastor and Teacher of The Congregational Church of Mansfield, UCC, in Mansfield, MA. She previously pastored congregations in Attleboro, MA; Schellsburg, PA; and North Conway, NH. Her other interests lie in non-seminary ministerial preparation through PATHWAYS Theological Education, Inc., where she is the chair of the Academic Council, and helping people discover that science and faith are not incompatible. Her doctoral dissertation from Lancaster Theological Seminary was an intergenerational, hands-on science curriculum for church use. She is also an alumna of Clal's Sinai and Synapses Fellowship. She holds a BA in Soviet and Eastern European Studies from the College of Liberal arts and an M.Div. from the School of Theology, both at Boston University. She resides in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where she enjoys cooking, reading, and binge watching science fiction television shows.
Rev. Erik Koepnick

Rev. Erik J. Koepnick is passionate about providing spiritual care and wellness coaching to folks seeking to connect with the divine spark within. They hold a Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary where they began their ministry of care with youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. Erik was ordained to community outreach and social justice ministry in the United Church of Christ while serving as the Manager of Volunteers at the Guest House of Milwaukee, an agency providing life-giving services to people recovering from homelessness, addiction, and mental illness. In 2014, Erik’s LGBTQ+ advocacy provided them the privilege of presiding over the first same-sex marriage in Wisconsin, when it became legalized during Obergefell v. Hodges. Through a commitment to continued education and personal growth, Erik has developed an open-hearted pastoral approach that is person-centered, trauma-informed, and diversity-affirming. Erik believes that more people and communities can thrive through engaging spiritual wellness, no matter if they are religious or not, and that all people may benefit from spiritual care. Erik recently founded Beloved Spirit, a nonprofit empowering spiritual wellness especially for burned-out activists, community change agents, and caregivers of all sorts. They live in Milwaukee, WI with their beloved, Ryan.

The Reverend Dr. Sonja B. Williams is a dynamic scholar and teacher who continually cares for and inspires others in the academy, church, and healing professions, all while working in the areas of social justice, caregiving, and administration. As a practical theologian, Sonja examines and reflects on religious practices within community and learning contexts, imparting her own brand of advocacy, teaching, and service that works for liberation, justice, and compassion. She passionately believes in theology’s power to transform lives, particularly when it means working for the equality of all persons and communities. Currently, Sonja serves as the Dean of Students and is Visiting Professor of Practical Theology at Eden Theological Seminary, where she encourages a campus culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. An advocate for student success, she works for new academic programming and collaborates with campus partners to ensure the highest academic levels for the students she serves. Recently, Sonja launched a Black owned retreat, counseling, and consultation center designed to produce safe spaces and educational opportunities called BlkPracTLogy. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, this service was designed as a safe haven for helping individuals and groups explore oppressive behaviors, self-care, and ways to decolonize. With BlkPracTLogy, Sonja works toward an inclusive future for Black lives and empowering marginalized communities.
